3. Grammar: (we will do this together on Friday)
  1. Write a sentence with a Direct Object (use a transitive verb like give, take, follow, etc).
  2. Write a sentence with a predicate nominative (use a linking verb like is/seems/feels and make sure the word after the linking verb is a noun renaming the subject.)
  3. Write a sentence with a predicate adjective (use a linking verb like is/seems/feels and make sure the word after the linking verb is an adjective describing the subject.)
  4. Write a compound sentence (two independent clauses linked with a comma-FANBOYS)
  5. Write a complex sentence (one independent clause and one dependent clause--the dependent clause should begin with a subordinate conjunction)

4. Reading project: Make sure you have finished Wonderstruck. Create a model of your property that is partly like the model of NYC Rose made and partly a Bonkei Garden. Make a model of your house with boxes/paper, make a model of the property around your house with moss for grass, twigs for trees, rocks, clay figures, etc. Make sure to make paths with stones. Your garden and house should sit on a tray or plate and be relaxing to look at.

5. Journal: What is the most peaceful place you can think of? The most peaceful thing to thing about? What calms you? How do you find calm in the midst of anxiety?

On our Zoom call today I intend to:
1. Go over the Story of the World chapter questions from chapters 9 and 10.
2. Do the map work for chapters 11 and 12.
3. Discuss the end of Wonderstruck and have McLean write a reading response to the book.
4. Discuss the model of NYC, her thoughts of it, and her project.
5. Go over IO/Dos and PA/PNs. Explain Grammar HW
